Real estate agents are in one of the best positions when it comes to absorbing information through podcasts. Why? Well, real estate agents spend a lot of time in their cars.

With all the podcasts to choose from, it’s hard to decide the best show to suit your needs. Perhaps you’re a new agent and want content focused on being a beginner in real estate. Maybe you're growing your business and need fresh ideas. Or you may be advanced and thinking about building a team and expanding.

This article is dedicated to providing you with the best podcasts to grow your business in 2023.

This article will break down the podcasts based on where you may be in your business.

👋 Podcasts for new real estate agents: In this section, you’ll meet shows that do a wonderful job at laying the foundation and starting your business.

🌳 Podcast for growing real estate agents: In this section, you learn about shows that take a deeper dive into topics and explain topics that appeal to those looking for a fresh approach to their marketing and systems.

📈 Podcasts for advanced real estate agents: This section is dedicated to more advanced topics and team building. Also, this section is perfect for brokers, leaders, MLS board leadership, and technology companies interested in the real estate industry.

🛠 Bonus — Non-real estate podcasts (that agents need): Don’t limit your podcast playlist to just real estate shows. In this section, you’ll learn more about marketing, sales, and topics that extend beyond real estate.

Let’s dive in!

Top Podcasts For New Real Estate Agents

Rev Real Estate School | Top Real Estate Agent Training

We would place our podcast in the new agent category in 2023. On the show, we discuss various growing agent topics, but we always frame them in a manner that is approachable for new real estate agents.

Given we know the show well (obviously), we can take a peek under the hood to show you how we build content for the show.

The content is user-driven; the feedback and emails provide the lessons and content. In most cases, the episodes fall into these categories.

  • Systems

  • Lead generation

  • Customer experience & referrals

  • Mindset

Most of the inbound requests fall broadly into one of these four categories.

Podcast Length: Short to medium/long form, depending on the episode type. Interviews and host/co-host episodes will be longer, and solo episodes shorter.

Podcast Style: Solo, interview, and host & co-host

Podcast Cadence: 1-2 per week

Host Style: Our approach is focused on the human side of selling and increasing the knowledge base of the real estate agent. You’ll hear a lot about lead generation and conversion using techniques that are working with modern-day consumers.

Real Estate Rookie

Important caveat — this podcast is focused on real estate investing. There are numerous investing podcasts; however, most don’t apply heavily to real estate agents. Real Estate Rookie is different.

The beauty behind this podcast is how it explains real estate-related concepts in a simple fashion. This is helpful for new agents. You’ll learn about such concepts as multiple offers, financing, assessing value and repairs. Also, this show is compliments of BiggerPockets, which is a fantastic resource for agents and investors.

Not every episode will be applicable, so this is a great show to cherry-pick.

Podcast Length: Long form episodes, with most episodes landing between 45 minutes - 1 hour

Podcast Style: Host & co-host

Podcast Cadence: 2-4 per week

Host Style: Friendly and conversational

Real Estate Rockstars

Formally hosted by Pat Hiban, a retired mega-producer Real Estate agent and now hosted by Aaron Amuchastegui.

This podcast is 100% interviews with top agents, team leaders, growing agents, and new agents. Interviews are a trusted resource for new agents because it’s not as theoretical and more practical.

Aaron asks the tough questions getting the guest to share the exact way they were able to build their business.

You may not jive with all guests, but that’s ok; there are plenty of previous guests and new interviews throughout the week!

Previously, one of the unique things about Pat’s podcast was the colossal resource library he made available to his listeners. In every past episode, he asked the guests to provide a downloadable resource for the listeners. That resource is added to an extensive library that he calls the “Agent Success Toolbox,” available to the listeners.

If you’re in a rush, they do monthly excepts from each guest at the end of the month. These are great if you want just the top tips from each guest.

Podcast Length: Long form episodes, with most episodes landing between 45 minutes - 1 hour

Podcast Style: Interview

Podcast Cadence: 2-3 per week

Host Style: Interview and seeks to get beyond the surface answers.
